Social Justice

Unitarian Universalism is a place where all the issues of our time can be addressed. From environmental justice, children’s rights, Black Lives Matter, reproductive education, healthcare access, LGBTQ equality and so much more, our principles can guide us in acting out our faith. Unitarians and Universalists have historically been some of the first people seeking justice for oppressed people, and these days often fill up the city council and school board meetings in addition to showing up to march and bear witness for justice.

I aim to help strengthen individuals within congregations in support of their justice efforts.

I am naturally drawn to roles where I am supporting the individuals on the front lines. Whether providing pastoral or spiritual support, making connections and breaking down barriers for the marginalized, introducing communication or process improvement tools gained from my corporate experience, or inspiring from the pulpit, the roles that I am gravitating to have all been focused on creating an environment that supports and rejuvenates the social justice warriors in the communities I serve.
